Holy Guacamole...where did three years go???

It has been so very long since I wrote anything.  We now have about a dozen chickens and 3 turkeys and are getting loads of eggs from both the chickens and the turkeys.  I finally got my BS in psychology.  Yay, I can talk at length about nature vs nurture and argue why Freud was SO wrong and Carl Rogers absolutely had it completely together.  Currently, I'm in graduate school and you are in to EVERYTHING!

You completely crack me up.  You are one of the happiest babies I have ever had the genuine privilege of knowing.  You finally walked at almost two years of age.  You are speaking but apparently I am the only one who can fully understand you.  You still REFUSE to sleep in your own bed.  You won't even sleep in the same bed with me without being completely curled up and wrapped in my arms.  (Shhh...don't tell Daddy but I completely love sleeping like that with you).

You are amazing.  You are extremely picky with who you love but once you decide someone is worthy of your love, you give it to them with everything you've got.  (Gee, wonder where you get that from???)

You are beautiful.  You are so beautiful.  In so many different ways.  You have such a large amount of empathy for such a tiny girl.  Even though you have to force a person to get down to your level so you can hug them and pat them on their hand or back to let them know that you are there for them, you never fail to do so.

You have a sharp intellect and you understand absolutely anything put to you.  It's as if you are a sponge and simply soak up every minute bit of information that comes across your path.  It is truly amazing how quickly you pick up concepts.  Your cognitive abilities are off the charts.  Not bad for a little girl who has two brain bleeds and had ten strokes during open heart surgery when she was a tiny infant.

I adore you.  I had no idea how much I would enjoy being not just the mother of a little girl, but YOUR mother.  EVERY SINGLE DAY is filled with laughter because of you.  I absolutely cherish how you know what you need and you set about getting it.  Right now that usually consists of getting in front of me as I am writing up research proposals and laying across the computer in my lap!  But I have yet to turn an assignment in late or with any of your most helpful "edits" that are made by your belly against the keyboard or diminutive little fingers sneaking across the keys as I walk away to do something.  :)

Right now, you are laying across my legs and pushing the laptop closed...making it increasingly difficult to type.  :-/  I can take a hint.  Hopefully, I will update a bit more regularly than I have previously.
